چکیده
Lebanon has been suffering from severe challenges in its electric sector for decades owing to chronic supply shortages and faults aging power grid infrastructure. The deplorable situation of the Lebanese made worse by economic meltdown that started 2019, which eventually led total blackouts across country. In this paper, we present a case study on design implementation solar microgrid system Beirut Arab University, Lebanon. As first step, simulation software distributed generation is used compare different scenarios. Considering available installation area fact greatest demand occurs during daytime, when both educational managerial facilities are running, it found 500-kW photovoltaic tied university’s already diesel generators optimal solution terms return investment. second step details actual campus evaluation system’s performance cost savings emissions reduction. We expect results will encourage other institutions communities adopt sustainable renewable energy sources.

Oracles used for testing graphical user interface (GUI) programs are required to take into consideration complicating factors such as variations in screen resolution or color scheme when comparing observed GUI elements to expected GUI elements. Researchers proposed fuzzy comparison rules and computationally expensive image processing techniques to tame the comparison process since otherwise the...

Placing a certain number of sinks at appropriate locations in WSNs reduces the number of hops between a sensor and its sink resulting in less exchanged messages between nodes and consequently less energy consumption. Since finding the optimal number of the sinks to be added and their locations is an NP Hard problem, we propose in this paper, a topological level solution that uses a meta-heurist...
متن کاملWireless Networks on university Campuses
U niversities are particularly interested in wireless communication networks because they let students using wireless-enabled mobile terminals download lecture slides, watch educational audio and video programs, and take online practice quizzes at any time and from anywhere on campus. This can both reduce paper handouts and simplify paperless assignments and submissions. Wireless networks can a...

The paper first discusses the need for the change of today's universities, called to a reorganization of their teaching and process management, due to the pressure they are submitted to by internal and external modifications. In any university these problems are faced and solved in a different way, but always digital technologies play a relevant role in the transformation. This is the main reas...
